Exposing Spatio-Temporal Structures of turbulence
The UAS
QAV250 racing drones
… are used to obtain measurements of 3D wind, temperature and humidity in the Atmospheric Boundary Layer. The small and agile drone can cope with strong winds and heavy gusts.
The fleet
The SWUF-3D fleet consists of 35 UAS
… which can be operated in a coordinated, synchronized way to capture spatially distributed measurements in the Atmospheric Boundary Layer.
